  • Dave and Jen Austin

    Dave and Jen bought the property in 2016 and began looking for a way to use the horses and facilities to help others in their life journeys.

    They love the Alathia programs and are truly inspired to see the genuine engagement, joy and personal growth in the program participants as they connect with the wonderful horses.

    Jen and Dave are surrounded by a team of people who give their time, their skills and their resources to make this all possible. They are so grateful for the team and their endless energy and commitment.

    They look forward to meeting you and connecting you with the genuine, enabling and transformative power of horses.

  • Bec Bimson

    Bec joined our team as Alathia Program Director in 2024. Bec’s background includes Sports Administration, Event Management, mentoring and coaching.

    In addition to her professional background, Bec is currently pursuing studies in Theology. She has a pastoral heart and a deep understanding of an individuals needs, including those with diverse abilities and interests.

    A keen sports woman, Bec is delighted to be working with horses again.

    Fun fact: A horse’s eyes are some of the largest of any land animal. The shape and position of them give the animal an amazing 340 degree visual range.

  • Dave Shirley

    David has been a member of the Alathia team since its inception and brings fun and creativity to every program. David has been around horses most of his life and learnt how to ride at the age of seven.

    David brings a wealth of experience in team management and people organisation. David has been in the property industry for over 25 years and has run his own company for 14 years. He has a keen sense of intuition which assists him caring for the clients of Alathia.

    David loves travelling the world and enjoys scuba diving in caves in remote locations. When at home David can be found in the kitchen cooking up a storm.
